第 11 篇：An Interesting Festival

The 农业盛会 举行 after the 独立 Day. It is not a worldwide celebration. Only 基督徒 in 墨西哥 期待 its 到来 for its 宗教起源 Long ago, humans’祖先 were bad. They 欺骗 and 耍花招 each other and never 遵守 their word. So God 出现 and 淹死 all their crops. Humans 挨饿 day and night, 哭泣. In order to 获得 God’s 原谅, a woman poet 诗人出发 to see God. She 赞美 God and kept 道歉. God was moved. With his 允许, humans finally had good 丰收 again. So, to 抹去忧伤 and 提醒 themselves 对 the 信仰 in God, people began the festival. On the festival, people 聚集 in open air, such as playgrounds or parking 停车场, and 精力充沛 玩的开心 each other 通宵达旦, 似乎 they were never tired. When a beauty 盛装打扮 in lovely clothing reads poems 纪念 the poet, everyone 他们屏住呼吸. Then, it is the 风俗 that the 骨头 of a 公鸡 head is given to her as an 奖励. 很显然, the story is not true, but the festival is interesting.
